K.H.K.
Media is an abbreviation of Kerensa Ha Kres Media. This
phrase means 'love and peace' in the Cornish language.
We are based at St. Agnes on the rugged north coast
of Cornwall, deep in the heart of a Cornish tin mining
district. St. Agnes is designated an area of outstanding
natural beauty and is a World Heritage Site. St. Agnes
has inspired countless artists over the years. The village
is still home to many artists and craft shops and is
a constant inspiration to us and others.
Our
logo features an animal head inspired by the Celtic
art of the Book of Kells, with the Cornish national
flag of St. Piran in the background. We feel deeply
connected to Cornwall, and the Celtic tradition of art
and music.

Media is in reality the work of Andrew Trenoweth. As well
as photography he has also spent the last decade using computer
technology to get the most from his pictures. All work is
carried out by Andrew, so everything is given personal care
and attention.

Andrew
Trenoweth was born at St. Agnes, and has always been
fascinated with the history and scenery of the village
he grew up in. As a child he spent his time on the Cornish
beaches and amongst the wild and untamed granite moors.
After graduating from university Andrew was forced to
choose between a career in engineering and staying in
his beloved Cornwall - and the draw to the Duchy was
far too strong.
Andrew's
journey towards a career in photography started with
him becoming the track photographer for the 'Trelawny
Tigers' speedway team in 2000. Andrew's photographs
were regularly published in the 'Speedway Star' (an
international speedway magazine) and local newspapers.
His pictures can still be seen on speedway websites
all around the world.

Andrew
grew up with a motorsport background and has been involved
with rallying from an early age. He still takes photographs
at various motorsport events throughout the country,
particularly classic rallying and speed events. His
motorsport photographs have been published in several
magazines, including 'Classic Cars' magazine, and have
featured on various websites.

Andrew's
main love is capturing Cornwall in her many moods, both
on calm and gentle summer days and with the winter gales
pounding the cliffs. As well as promoting Cornwall visually
he also has a love of music and songwriting. His landscape
pictures have been used in hotel brochures and in Cornwall
Today, a highly respected and popular high-quality local
glossy magazine.

In
2004 Andrew became involved with the Saffron Art Gallery
at St. Agnes, and helped develop their art print business
Cornish Art Prints. He worked at the print origination
studio turning artwork into prints and greeting cards
for artists and galleries throughout Cornwall, including
ranges by popular and established local artists.
Andrew's
work was sold through Cornish Art Prints, and his panoramic
and landscape photographs were popular sellers in galleries
throughout the county. Andrew has pictures in collections
in Africa, America, Australia and New Zealand.

|
| In
2006 Andrew decided that after several years at Cornish
Art Prints it was time to leave and establish his own
print studio, where he could use his skills to follow
his own path. Kerensa Ha Kres Media was born. The decision
was inspired by a desire to concentrate more on his own
photography, and wanting to be able to spend more time
with each artist to build a more personal working relationship.

Andrew
has developed links with the Cornwall branch of the
Embroiderer's Guild, photographing various embroideries
and pieces of needlework.
In
addition to photographing motorsport races Andrew also
takes pictures at other sporting events. As well as
working with his local football club he is the team
photographer for the Storm Netball Club, and can be
found most weeks photographing one of the Storm teams
in action.
