A bonus postcard this week, showing St. Ives at just before midnight. I love photographing night scenes, particularly at Christmas when there are some fabulous light displays. This picture was taken with a big lens from above Carbis Bay. I was at the bay a lot this week, and one late visit gave me the opportunity to get some lovely views looking in towards St. Ives and at Godrevy Lighthouse. The reflection of the lights on the water was breathtaking. It was a glorious warm summer evening and everything was absolutely still.
