The postcard
this week was taken at Porthcothan Bay. Summer had finally arrived
(better late than never) and it was very sunny and extremely hot.
I decided to walk one of my favourite stretches of coastpath, from
Mawgan Porth to Porthcothan.
I started at
Bedruthan Steps fairly early and the tide was high, but as the walk
takes a few hours I knew that I would arrive at Porthcothan Bay
when the tide was going out, and by the time that I returned to
Bedruthan Steps there would be plenty of beach exposed. I stopped
for lunch on the shoreline at Porth Mear, and the sea was lapping
gently by my feet. It is days like these that make me realise how
lucky I am to be in Cornwall!
