To get the most
from our photographs we have invested in high quality printers and
scanners, and we can use our equipment to produce art prints for
other artists. We appreciate that it can be ridiculously expensive
starting a range of art prints and we are keen to help artists establish
themselves. Although we are a photography business we also have
experience working with artists starting out in the business and
have helped many artists start selling their work.
Photography
is our core business and printing is a welcome by product, so we
do not need to charge large sums of money to get you started in
the art world. Instead of leaving our printers idle we would much
rather keep them busy! There is no minimum order so you can easily
test the market with a few samples rather than having to invest
in hundreds of prints at a time.
We offer a number
of different services and options at our digital printing studio
to cater for both amateur and professional artists as well as galleries.
In addition to creating prints and greeting cards from new artwork
we can also take old images and repair damage, create enlargements
or airbrush out unwanted objects. The flexibility that digital imaging
creates means that an image can be manipulated and used in many
different ways.
To start we
can simply create a quality photograph or scan so that you have
a record of your work. This is particularly applicable for crafts
such as embroideries where a print may not be needed, but images
could be used for cards or prints if required at a later date. Photographs
can be used for your portfolio, or emailed to galleries. These images
can be uploaded to your website, and we can print on demand to cut
your costs. We
can also photograph three-dimensional objects, such as ceramics
or sculptures. Promotional cards or exhibition invitations can be
created using these images. 35 mm slides and negatives can be scanned,
and repaired if necessary. Hundreds of images can be placed onto
a CD for safe storage, and will take up less space than photo albums.
We can then
create high resolution Giclée art prints using Epson Ultrachrome
K3 pigment inks to achieve accurate colour matching, even for monochrome
images. Our prints are light-fast for over 75 years and have increased
resistance to humidity and moisture. We can print on a variety of
papers, from archival matte paper to glossy photo paper depending
on your requirements. Photographs can also be emailed to us or sent
on a CD and we can create prints for you.
A4+ prints cost
from £4.50 each and A3+ prints from £9.00 each.
As well as creating
prints we can also create greeting cards. Our cards are virtually
mini prints as they are created using the same inkjet printers used
for our larger prints. Many other companies create cards using lithograph
or laser printers which produce poor quality cards that fade. Our
cards are printed using the Giclée system and have the same
light-fast properties as our full size prints. Cards are printed
on high resolution matte card, and are supplied with envelopes and
in clear plastic bags for protection. You can also customise the
reverse to include your own contact information and details of your
choice for no extra charge.
Small cards
(folded A5) cost as little as 50p each, and large cards (folded
A4) cost £1.
Whether you
are ready to print or are thinking about starting out as an artist
please feel free to contact us and discuss your situation. We are
selling our own photographic prints and have experience of starting
out in the industry. We are photographers before anything else and
have been through the process, so any advice or assistance that
we can supply is happily given.
